Madison, Indiana is located along the Ohio River Scenic Byway between Louisville, KY and Cincinnati, OH, a short driving distance from each. Many nights of the week you will find some kind of live entertainment in Madison. Events such as Fourth Friday Downtown, and the Free Summer Concert Series happen often in addition to larger festivals and events throughout the year.

History is also abundant in the area, especially as the Madison Historic district is listed as a National Historic Landmark. In addition to the many blocks of historic buildings you will find several house museums open to the public as well as the crown jewel of our history, the Lanier Mansion State Historic Site.

Outdoors adventures range from a downtown river walk, golf cart rentals to get around town, hiking in Clifty Falls State Park or biking/hiking in nearby Versailles State Park.

For a more relaxed visit, browse the many specialty retail shops and antique stores in downtown. There are many restaurants in the downtown area as well as nearby on the hilltop. You will be able to find places that have served sliders since 1933, another that has been serving seafood for over 50 years, and a restaurant in Indiana's oldest continuously operating tavern. Along with restaurants cafe's and bars, there is a brewery, wineries and plenty of pizza and ice cream. You won't run out of options while you are in Madison!
